About The RoleAbout the role Become the front line of Shopify Plus Sales in Australia as a Sales Development Representative. You'll play a crucial role in identifying and engaging with the world's fastest-growing eCommerce stores, helping them enhance their shopping experiences with Shopify Plus. This role offers the exciting opportunity to grow Shopify Plus's presence in the ANZ region and advocate for increased awareness. Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify good-fit merchants and craft compelling messaging via email and phone to build interest in Shopify Plus.
  • Learn the intricacies of eCommerce in ANZ, understanding major players and how Shopify can assist them.
  • Create positive first impressions for merchants by providing an unrivaled merchant experience.
  • Maintain active engagement with new and existing leads through Salesforce.
  • Conduct high-level qualifying conversations to triage and connect inquiries to the appropriate Shopify Sales Reps.
  • Contribute to building culture and upholding Shopify values in the growing APAC region.
  • Liaise with peers across global markets to refine processes and evolve the role.
  • Work with your lead to up-skill in professional and personal development.

Qualifications:

  • Experience and knowledge of the ANZ market.
  • Experience in outbound sales or business development roles.
  • High-energy, positive attitude, and merchant-focused mentality.
  • Experience working with international teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
  • Motivated, driven, and self-starting individual who can hit the ground running.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and navigate ambiguity.
  • Strong process improvement skills to help develop the role as the business evolves.
  • Understanding of customer needs and ability to connect them with Shopify Sales Reps.
