Role Purpose
The Regional Talent Partner (RTP) plays a critical role in enabling She Loves Data’s chapters and Global Tech team to scale sustainably by:
- Attracting, screening, and onboarding high-quality volunteers
- Supporting talent operations across multiple countries
- Acting as a trusted talent advisor to Chapter Leads and Tech team stakeholders
- Ensuring consistent, fair, and people-centric talent practices across the region
This role blends recruitment, stakeholder partnership, and light operations support, making it ideal for someone who enjoys building systems, supporting leaders, and working cross-culturally.
Key Responsibilities1. Volunteer Talent Acquisition
- Partner with Chapter Leads and Tech team to understand volunteer needs and role requirements
- Support end-to-end volunteer recruitment, including:
- Role clarification and JD alignment
- Application screening
- First-round interviews (where applicable)
- Interview coordination with Chapter Leads / Tech team
- Ensure a positive, inclusive candidate experience across all touchpoints
2. Volunteer Onboarding & Transitions
- Coordinate onboarding for new volunteers in supported chapters and Tech team
- Ensure volunteers receive:
i. Clear role expectations
ii. Access to relevant tools (Slack, GDrive etc.)
iii. Introduction to key stakeholders
iv. Support offboarding and role transitions in line with SLD guidelines
3. Regional & Cross-Chapter Talent Support
- Act as the primary talent point of contact for Melbourne, Sydney & New Zealand
- Advise Chapter Leads on:
i. Volunteer engagement challenges
ii. Role clarity and workload balance
iii. Talent risks and succession planning
iv. Escalate talent risks or concerns early to the Head of Talent
4. Process Improvement & Talent Operations
- Help improve and maintain:
i. Volunteer hiring processes
ii. Interview guides and screening criteria
iii. Onboarding and offboarding checklists
- Contribute to building scalable, lightweight talent frameworks suitable for a volunteer organisation
- Support documentation and knowledge-sharing across regions
5. Collaboration & Community Contribution
- Collaborate closely with:
i. Head of Talent
ii. Other Regional Talent Partners
iii. Chapter Leads and Tech team
- Participate in periodic Talent team syncs and retrospectives
- Champion SLD values of inclusion, respect, and collaboration
Who We’re Looking ForEssential
- At least 3 years' experience in HR, Talent Acquisition, People Operations, or Volunteer Management
- Comfortable working across multiple countries and cultures
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Organised, reliable, and able to manage multiple stakeholders
- Empathetic, inclusive, and community-minded
- Able to commit ~4–6 hours per week consistently
Nice to Have
- Experience supporting ANZ and Asian markets
- Exposure to non-profits, NGOs, or community-led organisations
- Interviewing or hiring experience
- Familiarity with remote collaboration tools (Slack, Google Workspace etc.)
- Passion for diversity, equity, inclusion, and women in tech/data
