Collections Manager - Remote!

Collections Manager – Sydney | 6 Month Contract

Our client in the financial services sector is seeking a Collections Manager to lead debt recovery operations and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory frameworks across Australia. This role will suit an experienced leader with the FNS30420 Certificate III in Mercantile Agents and proven expertise in managing recovery processes in line with Australian legislation.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support debt recovery operations, ensuring policies, procedures, and work instructions are in place and followed.
• Develop and implement debt recovery strategies aligned with legal frameworks.
• Monitor overdue accounts and initiate appropriate recovery actions.
• Ensure compliance with the Commercial Agents and Private Inquiry Agents Act 2004 (NSW) and other relevant state-specific regulations.
• Maintain accurate records and reporting systems for audits and reviews.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• FNS30420 Certificate III in Mercantile Agents, including competencies in:
• Debt collection and legal recovery
• Locating individuals and serving legal process
• Managing individuals experiencing hardship
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent negotiation and conflict resolution abilities.
• Familiarity with Australian credit laws and financial regulations.

Contract Details

• Location: Sydney
• Contract: 5-6months, with potential for extension
• Start Date: Immediate
