Role Description This is a full-time remote role for an Entry / Junior Level Cloud Engineer. The Cloud Engineer will assist in designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud-based infrastructure across common platforms and services. Day-to-day tasks include deploying and monitoring applications, managing Linux-based systems, configuring basic networking and security settings, and supporting database operations in the cloud. The role also involves collaborating with senior engineers, writing simple automation scripts, troubleshooting issues, and documenting configurations and procedures. The Cloud Engineer is expected to learn quickly, follow best practices, and contribute to stable and scalable environments.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess foundational skills in Software Development, including scripting or programming in languages such as Python, Java, or similar.
- Candidates should possess skills related to Infrastructure, including basic networking concepts, system administration, and automation tools.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of Cloud Computing, including familiarity with at least one major cloud provider (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and core services.
- Candidates should possess experience working with Linux, including command-line operations, file systems, and process management.
- Candidates should possess understanding of Databases, including basic SQL, data modeling concepts, and managing cloud-based or on-premise database instances.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and willingness to learn new tools and technologies.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, and ability to collaborate in a remote, distributed team.
- Relevant coursework, certifications (such as AWS Cloud Practitioner or equivalent), or a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field are beneficial.
