PHP Software Engineer

About the Role:

Join a team maintaining and enhancing a mature PHP application that was originally built on Laravel. This is a backend-focused role, your primary responsibility would be improving legacy code, addressing technical debt, and delivering new features.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and extend a large-scale PHP/Laravel application.
• Collaborate with engineers, QA, and product managers in an Agile/SCRUM environment.
• Own tasks end-to-end with clear communication and accountability.
• Contribute to quarterly releases and continuous improvement efforts.

Tech Stack:

• Backend: PHP, Laravel, MySQL
• Frontend (for context): Angular, React
• Cloud: AWS (basic understanding required)

What We’re Looking For:

• Strong PHP and Laravel experience.
• Solid understanding of object-oriented design and patterns.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently.
• Comfortable working on legacy systems and improving structure over time.
• Someone from a product based environment who has delivered robust features and products end to end.
