Role Overview
We are looking for a highly skilled and proactive Senior Tax Accountant to join our offshore team based in the Philippines. This role requires deep expertise in Australian tax compliance and financial reporting, with the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with our broader team. The successful candidate will have strong experience in preparing and reviewing company tax returns (CTR), individual tax returns (ITR), BAS, IAS, payroll, and financial statements, as well as managing client queries. Comfort with Xero and practice management systems such as Karbon is essential.
Key Responsibilities
• Prepare and review Australian company tax returns (CTR), individual tax returns (ITR), BAS, IAS, and payroll.
• Prepare accurate financial statements and supporting documentation using Xero work papers.
• Ensure compliance with Australian taxation regulations and deadlines.
• Review tax files with strong technical judgment and attention to detail.
• Manage client communications proactively, providing updates and clarifying requirements as needed.
• Work collaboratively with the MiracleMint team, integrating seamlessly with existing processes and systems.
• Contribute to process improvement, efficiency, and proactive client support initiatives.
• Effectively manage multiple tasks and deadlines with minimal supervision.
Qualifications & Skills
• At least 5 years of experience working in an Australian tax accounting firm.
• Proven expertise in preparing CTR, ITR, BAS, IAS, payroll, and financial statements.
• Highly proficient in Xero and experienced with Karbon practice management software.
• Comfortable using Xero work papers and related tax and compliance tools.
• Strong understanding of Australian tax regulations and compliance requirements.
• Proactive mindset with the ability to work independently and manage client relationships.
• Strong multitasking, time management, and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial, founder-led firm with a dynamic and flexible work culture.
