Job DescriptionThe Purchasing Coordinator is responsible for managing the full purchasing process, including placing purchase orders, updating stock timelines, coordinating work orders with co-packers, and overseeing inventory reporting. This role ensures smooth communication between suppliers and internal departments—Quality, Product Management, Finance, and Pharmacy—to support supplier onboarding, stock delivery, product information, and monthly reporting. Additional responsibilities include maintaining the inventory management system, creating item codes, and handling documentation for domestic shipments to 3PLs. The role plays a key part in keeping all stakeholders informed and ensuring efficient stock movement across the supply chain. You’ll collaborate closely with leadership, suppliers and pharmacy and your work will be pivotal in supporting the company’s growth, improving operational efficiency, and ensuring product to patient. Job RequirementsWhat You Will Own
- Day to Day Purchasing Operations: Purchase order placement, tracking, update comms to internal and external stakeholder to ensure full visibility on stock movement throughout the business.
- Supplier Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring reliable supply and up to date comms.
- Data Analysis and Reporting: Tack procurement performance, identify trends, and provide data-driven insights to improve decision-making.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product Manager, Quality, Finance and Pharmacy to streamline workflow and ways of working and to ensure compliance across all functions.
- Ownership of shaping and developing current process flows to be more efficient, streamlined and concise.
What We Are Looking For
- 2+ years of experience in a similar purchasing role, ideally within a GMP facility.
- Proficiency in Inventory Management Systems (SAP, Oracle, Unleashed, etc.), with experience managing inventory data, reporting, purchase order tracking and forecasting.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks on the go.
- Experience in supplier management and relationship building.
- A self-starter who thrives in an autonomous, remote-first work environment and has the ability to collaborate with teams across different functions and time zones.
