About The Opportunity We’re looking for a hands-on Senior Product Manager to join the APJ Payroll and Compliance team, part of Dayforce’s global payroll product organisation. As a global HCM platform, you’ll collaborate with product, engineering, and compliance teams across multiple regions to deliver solutions that scale globally while meeting local needs. This is a senior individual contributor (IC) role for someone who thrives in agile delivery, enjoys solving complex customer challenges within regulatory frameworks, and leads by example. As a senior member of the team, you’ll be expected to collaborate with peers and help strengthen the product organisation’s operational excellence through mentorship and disciplined product practices in a global, enterprise-scale environment. You’ll lead the evolution of Dayforce’s payroll functionality across Australia, New Zealand, and Singapore, ensuring our solutions stay compliant, intuitive, and aligned with both regional regulations and enterprise customer needs. Working directly with engineering, UX, compliance, implementation, and solutions advisory teams, as well as customers, partners, and tax authorities such as the ATO, to deliver exceptional outcomes and maintain compliance across the region. As a Senior Product Manager in the APJ Payroll team, you’ll own how Dayforce delivers compliant, high-performing, and scalable payroll solutions across key APJ markets. You’ll blend commercial insight, technical understanding, and regulatory knowledge to deliver real-world value to organisations and their people. Your ability to collaborate, influence, and mentor those around you will directly shape the effectiveness and maturity of the broader product team. What You’ll Get To Do
- Own the full product lifecycle for APJ payroll—discovery, definition, evaluation, prioritisation, delivery, and iteration.
- Ensure compliance with payroll, tax, and employment regulations across Australia (primary market), New Zealand, and Singapore.
- Partner with engineering, UX, QA, and compliance teams to design scalable, high-quality features.
- Collaborate closely with peers across Product and Engineering to solve problems collectively and achieve shared outcomes.
- Work directly with customers, partners, and government authorities (e.g., ATO, IRAS, NZIR) to validate solutions and ensure compliance accuracy.
- Lead by example in product operations excellence—championing robust processes, documentation, and data-informed prioritisation.
- Mentor and coach other team members to develop their product craft and operational discipline.
- Operate effectively within a large, global enterprise, understanding how to communicate, align, and deliver across distributed teams.
- Apply strong commercial and strategic thinking to balance product decisions with business impact.
- Use data and customer insights to continuously improve product outcomes and measure success.
Skills & Experience We Value
- 5+ years of product management experience in enterprise SaaS, ideally within HCM or payroll.
- Desirable experience a strong understanding of Australian payroll and taxation, with familiarity or experience across New Zealand and Singapore compliance frameworks.
- Proven track record of delivering products end-to-end in agile, cross-functional teams.
- Strong product operations mindset—skilled at structuring discovery, evaluation, prioritisation, and delivery processes.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills; able to navigate global stakeholders and align cross-functionally.
- Experience mentoring peers and promoting best practices in product craft and delivery.
- Ability to translate complex regulatory and technical requirements into clear, actionable deliverables.
- Commercially minded, able to balance customer value with business outcomes.
- Proficiency in Agile/Scrum tools (Jira, Confluence, Aha!).
- Comfortable working in a remote, global, enterprise-scale environment.
What Will Make You Really Stand Out
- Expertise in enterprise product development within large SaaS environments.
- Demonstrated success building and evolving payroll or enterprise SAAS solutions at scale.
- Experience engaging with government or regulatory agencies (ATO, IRD and IRAS).
- Hands-on technical familiarity with integrations, APIs, and data workflows.
- Recognised product or agile certifications (e.g., CSPO, Pragmatic Institute).
- Strong data and UX fluency—able to blend analytics, user research, and feedback loops.
- A natural collaborator who uplifts teams and simplifies complex systems through structured, pragmatic problem-solving.

- You’ll also collaborate with global payroll product peers across North America, EMEA, and APJ, ensuring consistency and alignment in how Dayforce delivers payroll solutions worldwide.
