About the Role

Due to significant growth in the region, BAPI is seeking a Technical HVAC Sales and Solutions professional to work closely with regional leadership to engage prospective customers, uncover business needs, and propose tailored solutions. In this role, you will help build BAPI’s presence with partners and customers, driving market share and revenue across our HVAC product lines. You will also support the rollout of our cold room and freezer monitoring solution, and provide input into marketing, market planning, and technical product development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain long-term customer relationships by learning customer operations, identifying needs, and recommending appropriate BAPI solutions
  • Research customer requirements and develop effective product applications
  • Develop forecasts with new and existing customers
  • Qualify opportunities by evaluating technical and manufacturing requirements
  • Generate new leads, follow up inbound and outbound leads, and conduct cold outreach
  • Maintain accurate CRM records including customer notes, follow-ups, and prospect activity
  • Partner closely with Customer Service to ensure seamless customer communication and hand-offs
  • Develop and deliver professional sales and technical education presentations
  • Travel to customer sites and trade shows as required
  • Maintain awareness of industry activity, trends, and relevant regulations
  • Conduct regular sales calls to build relationships and achieve call and activity targets
  • Close deals, support contract finalisation, and achieve quota and revenue targets
  • Help resolve product and service issues by coordinating with internal teams as needed
  • Verify order accuracy prior to release to production
  • Complete pre-travel planning and post-travel reporting, and follow through on action items
  • Coordinate with Sales Operations to ensure sales materials and documents are available and fit for purpose
  • Maintain industry knowledge through workshops, publications, and professional networks
  • Contribute to team outcomes and special projects as assigned

Education

  • Required: Associate’s degree, trade school, or technical school
  • Preferred: Bachelor’s degree
  • Preferred fields: Electronics, Engineering, Industrial Technology, or related discipline (or equivalent experience)

Required training and experience

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Teams)
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • 3+ years of sales experience
  • Ability to work independently, with strong analytical capability and attention to detail

Preferred

  • Knowledge of IoT devices, sensors, and cloud-based asset tracking platforms
  • Electronics background

Location and Travel

  • Location: Remote
  • Travel: Expected minimum six trips per year (regional and/or international), plus customer site visits and trade shows as required
  • Periods of extended hours may be required to meet deadlines and during travel

Salary

Circa AUD 130,000 base per annum plus AUD 16,200 car allowance, plus performance-based incentives.
