QLD Business Development Manager
Job Description
Posted on: June 4, 2026
Are you QLD- based and led by curiosity, built on relationships and motivated by results that actually mean something? This might be the role for you.
Axelent Australia is growing, and we're looking for a driven Business Development Manager to take ownership of Queensland’s pipeline and carve serious market share across Queensland and surrounding regions.
Who we are
We're the Australian and New Zealand subsidiary of Axelent - a Swedish industrial safety powerhouse with 30+ years of global expertise. Our modular safety systems (X-Guard, X-Rail, X-Tray and X-Protect) are trusted by manufacturers, warehouses, and industrial facilities to protect people, machinery and assets. Smart. Efficient. Easy to install. Built to last.
What you'll own
You'll be responsible for growing our footprint across Queensland - hunting new business, building lasting relationships and managing a structured pipeline from first contact to close. Your days could include:
- Identifying and qualifying new opportunities across end users, warehouse automation, manufacturing integrators, machine builders and more
- Meeting customers in their world, whether that's a site visit or a video call, to understand the problem before proposing a solution
- Translating customer conversations into clear, considered proposals that move things forward
- Keeping your pipeline honest - structured planning, clear forecasting and reporting that reflects reality
- Getting out at industry events, staying connected and never losing touch with where the industry is heading
What you bring
- Proven B2B sales and business development experience - you know how to open doors and close deals
- Strong relationship-building skills across distributors, contractors and end users
- Ability to understand technical or industrial products and translate them into practical solutions
- Self-motivated, organised and experience working autonomously in a remote field role
- Experience in industrial safety, materials handling, manufacturing or construction is highly regarded
- CRM proficiency (Salesforce preferred), solid with Microsoft Office and digital collaboration tools such as LinkedIn
- Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel within QLD and occasionally interstate or New Zealand
Formal qualifications in business, sales or engineering are a bonus, but real-world results matter more.
Why Axelent?
You'll be joining a growing organisation where your work genuinely makes a difference - keeping people safe at work across some of Australia's most important industries. You'll have the backing of an Australian team, globally respected brand, products you’ll actually be proud to put your name behind and the autonomy to build your state.
If you're ambitious enough to build it and experienced enough to know how, we want to hear from you.
