We are seeking a Part-time Business Development Specialist to join our VIC, NSW & QLD Team. This dynamic role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, client-focused environment and is passionate about driving business growth in the healthcare sector. As the Business Development Specialist, you will be instrumental in identifying new business opportunities, expanding the company’s market presence, and building lasting relationships with clients. You will have the chance to work closely with a team of professionals across sales, marketing, and operations, contributing to strategic initiatives that directly impact the company’s growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Generation & Market Research: Conduct thorough market analysis to identify trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities in the healthcare sector. Proactively generate new business leads through research, networking, and outreach efforts.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key stakeholders in healthcare institutions, such as hospitals, clinics, aged care facilities, and private practices. Provide personalized service to meet the specific needs of each client.
- Account Management: Oversee the management of customer accounts, ensuring that client needs are met in a timely and professional manner. Address any issues, complaints, or concerns promptly to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
- Collaboration with Sales & Marketing Teams: Work alongside the sales and marketing teams to develop and implement strategic initiatives that align with company goals. Support the creation of marketing campaigns, product promotions, and sales strategies to boost the company’s market presence.
- Customer Service Excellence: Provide exceptional customer service, from initial inquiry through to post-sale support, ensuring clients receive comprehensive product information and guidance. Continuously seek feedback to improve services.
- Reporting & Analytics: Use data and insights to report on progress, performance, and client feedback, and make recommendations for improvements to business development strategies.
Qualifications:
- Strong Analytical Skills: Ability to analyse data, interpret market trends, and develop actionable insights to drive business decisions.
- Exceptional Communication Skills: Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with both internal teams and external clients. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
- Lead Generation & Market Research Experience: Demonstrated ability to research, identify, and secure new business opportunities in a competitive market. Familiarity with CRM software such as Zoho, Salesforce or Hubspot is a plus.
- Customer Service Excellence: Strong interpersonal skills, with a focus on understanding client needs, providing tailored solutions, and building long-term, trust-based relationships.
- Team Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively across various teams, contributing positively to group dynamics and achieving shared objectives. A proactive, goal-oriented approach is essential.
- Sales/Business Development Experience: Previous experience in business development, sales, or a related field is highly advantageous, particularly in healthcare or B2B environments.
- Educational Background: A Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred. Additional certifications or training in sales, customer relationship management, or healthcare-related fields are a plus.
- Time Management & Organisational Skills: Ability to prioritize tasks effectively, manage a diverse range of responsibilities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Work Environment:
This is a remote role, allowing you to work from the comfort of your own space while still being an integral part of the team. You’ll be able to collaborate with colleagues across different departments—sales, marketing, and operations—virtually, ensuring that you stay connected and engaged with key stakeholders. As a remote team member, you'll have the flexibility to manage your own schedule and work in an environment that suits your needs, all while contributing to the company’s goals.
Though the role is remote, you will be expected to stay actively involved in team meetings, client calls, and strategy sessions through virtual platforms (such as Zoom, Microsoft Teams, etc.), so strong communication skills and proficiency with digital tools are important. Additionally, you will have direct access to leadership and colleagues to ensure collaboration is seamless and projects run smoothly.
Flexible working arrangements are a key benefit of this role. In addition to the core responsibilities, you will have the flexibility to manage your time to maintain a healthy work-life balance. Performance will be regularly assessed, and based on business needs and individual performance, there could be opportunities to adjust your hours or work schedule, offering further flexibility.
To help you be successful in a remote setting, the company provides all necessary tools and technology, such as a laptop, software, and communication platforms, to ensure you can perform your duties efficiently. You’ll also have access to ongoing training and resources to support your professional development, allowing you to grow within your role while working from home.
