A devastating crash near Shark Bay in remote Western Australia has left two people dead and a child fighting for life.

The incident occurred on the **North West Coastal Highway** in **Hamelin Pool**, approximately 260 kilometres south of Exmouth, at around 11:30am (1:30pm AEST) on Monday.

According to police, one of the vehicles involved was **towing a caravan**, which **rolled** during the accident.

Emergency services rushed to the scene, and the **Royal Flying Doctor Service** airlifted the critically injured child to Perth, with the flight touching down shortly before 6pm.

The child remains in a serious condition in hospital.
