Police have expressed being 'very concerned' for a four-year-old boy who has been missing from the mid-north region of South Australia for two days, as a massive search effort continues.
The boy, named Gus, was last seen at his home approximately 40 kilometers south of Yunta, a town east of Port Augusta, around 5 PM on Saturday, September 27.
Gus is described as Caucasian with curly blonde hair and was last seen wearing a grey sun hat, a cobalt blue T-shirt featuring a yellow minion on the front, light grey pants, and boots.
Yorke Mid North Police initiated a search of the area that night with support from Polair and an infrared camera but were unable to locate the child.
On Sunday, a ground search was conducted with the help of SES volunteers, utilizing trailbikes, ATVs, and a drone to cover a 2.5-kilometer radius around the location where Gus was last seen.
Additional resources were deployed on Monday, including Water Operations police to search dams and tanks on the property and the Mounted Operations Unit to assist in the ground efforts.
Deputy Commissioner Linda Williams emphasized the urgency, stating, 'We are very concerned for little Gus,' and assured that every available resource would be used to find him safe and well.
Authorities are urging anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers at 1800 333 000.
