Talent Right is an Australian based boutique Recruitment and HR consultancy specialising in white-collar recruitment and people partner services within the SME community both in Australia and New Zealand.
We are seeking a highly motivated and self-sufficient Business Development Manager to join our team to identify and secure quality leads for our management team, you will be a natural hunter and leave no stone unturned.
Our Team
Our Head office is based in Sydney, NSW but our people are located in Australia, New Zealand and the Philippines. We operate a remote model which will give you the flexibility of working from home and the ability to work hours to suit your lifestyle, a good internet connection is a must.
Our team is passionate about connecting top talent with great employers and supporting our clients to ensure their internal HR systems and functions are effective. Whilst we operate mainly within the white-collar sector, where required we do support with blue collar recruitment projects.
Our clients are SME’s, family owned and operated and sit within the industrial, manufacturing, engineering and construction industries although this can vary so if you have experience working with similar sized organisations and industries as well as operating at business owner decision maker level this would be highly beneficial.
The Role
This role will suit a sales professional from a recruitment background or someone who has worked in a BDM capacity within a consultancy environment who is experienced in driving new business opportunities.
This role is responsible for generating and qualifying leads, setting appointments for our Regional Recruitment Manager and HR Business Partner and building strong relationships with potential clients. This is a remote/phone-based sales role focused on outbound calling, with the goal of expanding our client base and promoting our recruitment & HR services.
You will be experienced at using LinkedIn for connecting and building your network and able to write comprehensive introduction InMail’s to clients to engage in meaningful conversations to build relationships.
You will work closely with our marketing team to leverage on our social media campaigns, LinkedIn connection drives promoting our services to potential clients both via LinkedIn, email and over the phone.
You will utilise job boards such as Seek and LinkedIn to track prospective clients job postings and ensure that Talent Right is front of mind for future recruitment drives, you will enjoy chasing live job adverts to secure opportunities for our team to demonstrate their skills and ability in finding top talent.
You will be highly engaging over the phone, understand the importance of delivering high impact calls to busy business owners, ask qualifying questions to ascertain needs and be confident to ask for appointments and secure meetings over the phone.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research potential clients via LinkedIn, website research and other platforms
- Make outbound sales calls to prospective clients to promote recruitment and HR services
- Identify key decision-makers and build relationships
- Qualify leads and set appointments for the Recruitment & HR leaders
- Maintain accurate records of calls, leads, and outcomes in JobAdder & Katalyse
- Meet and exceed weekly/monthly call targets and KPIs
- Follow up on marketing campaigns and inbound enquiries
- Promoting quarterly webinars, events and training opportunities to clients
- Collaborate with the leadership team to understand industry sectors and service offerings
- Stay informed about current market trends and competitor activity
Skills & Experience Required:
- Previous experience in business development, telemarketing, or outbound calling (recruitment industry experience is a plus)
- Strong verbal communication and persuasion skills
- Confident, resilient, and target-driven
- Ability to handle rejection and stay motivated
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Experience using a CRM or sales tracking software
- A customer-focused mindset with the ability to identify business needs
