Role Description

We are seeking a dedicated and academically driven Academic Research Assistant / Online University Instructor / Academic Advisor to support research initiatives, deliver high-quality online instruction, and provide academic guidance to students. This multifaceted role is responsible for contributing to research activities, facilitating engaging learning experiences, and assisting students in achieving their academic goals through effective advising and academic support.

The role will assist with research planning, literature reviews, data collection, data analysis, report preparation, and the development of research materials while ensuring accuracy, ethical standards, and proper documentation. Responsibilities also include supporting research projects, maintaining academic records, preparing presentations, and contributing to scholarly publications and knowledge-sharing initiatives where applicable.

As an Online University Instructor, the role will develop and deliver engaging online learning content, facilitate virtual lectures and discussions, assess student performance, provide constructive feedback, and maintain an inclusive and interactive learning environment. The instructor will utilize learning management systems (LMS) and educational technologies to enhance student engagement and support effective online teaching and learning.

As an Academic Advisor, the role will provide guidance on academic planning, course selection, program requirements, and educational resources. Responsibilities include assisting students with academic progression, monitoring academic performance, responding to academic inquiries, and collaborating with faculty and administrative teams to support student success and retention.

The role requires strong research, communication, instructional, and interpersonal skills, along with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities while maintaining professionalism, academic integrity, and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Business, Social Sciences, Computer Science, Engineering, Humanities, Natural Sciences, or a related discipline.
• Master's degree or higher in a relevant field is an advantage.
• Professional certification in Teaching, Higher Education, Instructional Design, Academic Advising, Research Methodology, or related disciplines is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of academic research methods, qualitative and quantitative research techniques, data analysis, and academic writing.
• Familiarity with curriculum development, online teaching methodologies, student assessment, and learning management systems (LMS).
• Understanding of academic advising practices, student support services, and higher education policies.
• Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and critical thinking abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and familiarity with online collaboration platforms, virtual learning tools, research databases, and reference management software is an advantage.
• Ability to prepare reports, research documentation, instructional materials, and academic resources with accuracy and attention to detail.
• High level of professionalism, integrity, and commitment to academic ethics and confidentiality.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with faculty, researchers, students, and cross-functional teams.
