Role Description

We are seeking a dedicated and innovative Academic Advisor / Instructional Designer / ESL Teacher to support student success through academic advising, instructional design, and English language education. This multifaceted role is responsible for providing academic guidance, developing engaging learning materials, and delivering high-quality English language instruction that promotes effective learning outcomes and student engagement.

The role will provide academic advising by assisting students with academic planning, course selection, program requirements, and educational resources. Responsibilities include monitoring student progress, responding to academic inquiries, supporting student retention initiatives, and collaborating with faculty and administrative teams to ensure a positive and supportive learning experience.

As an Instructional Designer, the role will analyze learning needs, design and develop curriculum materials, create online and blended learning content, and apply instructional design methodologies to enhance learner engagement and educational effectiveness. Responsibilities include developing course structures, learning activities, assessments, multimedia resources, and instructional documentation while ensuring alignment with learning objectives and quality standards.

As an ESL Teacher, the role will prepare and deliver engaging English language lessons that develop learners' speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills. The role will facilitate interactive classroom or virtual learning experiences, assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and adapt instructional approaches to accommodate diverse learning needs and language proficiency levels.

Additional responsibilities include utilizing learning management systems (LMS) and educational technologies, maintaining academic and instructional records, supporting curriculum reviews, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance teaching quality, instructional design, and student outcomes.

This position requires strong communication, instructional, organizational, and interpersonal skills, along with a passion for education, learner development, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, English, Applied Linguistics, Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Curriculum Development, Communications, or a related discipline.
  • Master's degree in Education, TESOL, Applied Linguistics, Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or a related field is an advantage.
  • Professional certification in TESOL, TEFL, CELTA, Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Academic Advising, or related disciplines is an advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of instructional design methodologies, curriculum development, learning theories, student assessment, and English language teaching principles.
  • Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS), virtual learning platforms, educational technologies, and digital content development tools.
  • Understanding of academic advising practices, student support services, and learner success strategies.
  • Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and familiarity with online collaboration, content authoring, multimedia, and assessment tools is an advantage.
  • Ability to develop engaging instructional materials and deliver learner-centered educational experiences.
  • High level of professionalism, integrity, cultural awareness, and commitment to learner success.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with students, faculty, and cross-functional teams.
  • Adaptable, creative, and committed to continuous learning, educational innovation, and teaching excellence.
