SOVRYN is an AI-enabled B2B marketplace designed to streamline compliant trade and procurement between pharmaceutical manufacturers, distributors, and independent pharmacies. The platform supports direct ordering, inventory visibility, product discovery, and data-driven purchasing workflows while maintaining strict regulatory and governance standards.

Prescripta provides clinic and pharmacy connectivity infrastructure focused on patient acquisition, prescribing pathways, referral networks, and healthcare practitioner engagement. The network is designed to improve accessibility, operational efficiency, and compliant prescribing support across Australia’s rapidly growing private healthcare market.

In addition to its technology and pharmacy operations, the group also operates media and communications assets, including trade publications, digital content platforms, educational initiatives, and Pharmacy TV channels aimed at supporting industry awareness, practitioner education, and sector-wide engagement.

Role Description

Dispensary Warehouse Group is seeking an experienced and commercially minded General Manager to oversee and scale operations across its pharmacy, technology, marketplace, prescribing, and media divisions.

This is a senior remote leadership role suited to a highly organised executive with experience managing multi-division businesses within healthcare, pharmacy, SaaS, pharmaceutical distribution, or regulated industries.

The General Manager will work closely with founders, strategic partners, pharmacies, suppliers, clinics, and healthcare stakeholders to execute the company’s national growth strategy. The successful candidate will be responsible for operational leadership across the Dispensary Warehouse banner network, the SOVRYN marketplace platform, and the Prescripta prescribing ecosystem.

Key responsibilities include leading day-to-day operations, driving strategic growth initiatives, managing cross-functional teams, implementing scalable operational systems, overseeing budgets and commercial performance, and ensuring compliance with all relevant healthcare and pharmaceutical regulations.

The role will also involve developing strategic partnerships with pharmacies, manufacturers, healthcare providers, and industry stakeholders while supporting new market opportunities, product launches, and commercial expansion initiatives.

This position requires a highly proactive operator capable of balancing startup agility with corporate-level operational discipline in a rapidly evolving healthcare sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage daily operations across all business divisions
  • Execute strategic growth and expansion initiatives nationally
  • Oversee operational performance, KPIs, and commercial outcomes
  • Manage and coordinate remote teams, contractors, and external stakeholders
  • Develop scalable systems and operational workflows
  • Drive pharmacy, clinic, and supplier partnership development
  • Support sales, business development, and onboarding initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with Australian healthcare, pharmacy, and therapeutic regulations
  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and financial management
  • Collaborate with founders on strategic planning, fundraising support, and market positioning
  • Assist in launching new healthcare, media, and SaaS initiatives across the group

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a senior operational, general management, or executive leadership role
  • Strong organisational leadership and team management capabilities
  • Experience scaling businesses, marketplaces, SaaS platforms, or healthcare operations
  • Strong understanding of Australian healthcare, pharmacy, or pharmaceutical regulatory frameworks
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication, and negotiation skills
  • Experience managing budgets, operational reporting, and commercial performance
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced remote environment
  • Highly strategic with strong execution capability
  • Experience within pharmacy, healthcare, medicinal cannabis, digital health, or pharmaceutical sectors is highly regarded
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare Management, Pharmacy, or related discipline preferred

Compensation

  • Base Salary: AU$140,000 to AU$220,000 per annum depending on experience
  • Performance bonuses and milestone incentives available
  • Potential equity or long-term incentive participation for the right candidate
