We're looking for Material Science specialists — Masters and PhD level — to work alongside leading AI research teams and help build the next generation of scientifically rigorous AI models. This is a fully remote, flexible contract role designed around your schedule. You bring the deep domain expertise; we'll handle the onboarding and training support.

What You'll Do

• Develop, solve, and critically review advanced material science problems with real-world relevance
• Apply your expertise in semiconductor materials, molecular modeling, or related specializations to design complex, challenging problem statements
• Collaborate asynchronously with AI researchers and fellow domain experts to sharpen AI model reasoning and output quality
• Evaluate AI-generated scientific content for rigor, accuracy, and conceptual depth
• Ensure clarity and precision across all deliverables — your standards set the bar

Who You Are

• Hold a Master's or PhD in Material Science or a closely related field
• Deep expertise in semiconductor materials, molecular modeling, or an adjacent discipline
• Comfortable coding in Python or MATLAB for research applications or technical problem-solving
• Exceptionally clear communicator — both in writing and verbally — with strong attention to detail
• Self-directed and reliable when working independently in an asynchronous environment
• Currently based in the U.S., Canada, U.K., Australia, or New Zealand

Nice to Have

• Prior experience with data annotation, data quality evaluation, or AI training workflows
• Background in research publishing, peer review, or technical curriculum design
• Familiarity with AI tools or scientific evaluation platforms
