Through our Covidence platform and innovative approaches to evidence synthesis, we're making research actionable globally. The Opportunity: We are looking for a software engineer to join a newly formed team focused on building large-scale platforms to power evidence synthesis globally. You’ll join a small team, focused on bringing impactful solutions to life quickly. We’ve recently received grant funding to invest in supporting research across Climate & Health and life-saving health interventions. This role supports our investment into these important projects. You’ll Get To Build greenfield systems that accelerates thousands of researchers Contribute to the architecture and operation of data systems Work to refine the team’s processes to increase our impact Be part of a small, tightly knit team that values trust and respect for one another What You Bring Experience building data-intensive systems and APIs Strong knowledge of queuing systems, orchestrators, and messaging architectures A pragmatic approach to building “just enough” to bring value quickly Great communication skills, both written and verbal Technology Stack We’re only just getting started, but we’re guessing these are the kinds of tools we’ll need. You don’t need to be deeply experienced in all of these, but some exposure to them will be advantageous. Python & FastAPI with some Pydantic Pandas/Polars/NumPy and friends PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and ElasticSearch as appropriate Azure Terraform OpenAPI/Swagger Continuous Integration - Buildkite/GitHub Actions The Perks Competitive salaries relevant to your experience level, reviewed twice yearly.
