The Mastermind Group (TMG), a leading innovator in Technology Spend Management, is seeking a customer-focused and driven Principal Consultant specialising in IT Asset Management (ITAM) to strategically enhance and deliver outstanding consulting services across the APAC region.

Your Opportunity:

• Strategic Consulting: Provide expert-level ITAM consultancy, developing tailored strategies to optimise customer software, hardware, SaaS, and cloud investments, significantly improving their overall technology spend effectiveness.
• Customer Excellence & Account Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with ITAM managers, CIOs, and finance stakeholders. Conduct regular customer reviews to assess ITAM/SAM/HAM program effectiveness and proactively identify opportunities to expand Managed SAM services and advanced ITAM capabilities.
• Delivery Management: Act as the primary point of contact for customers during ITAM/SAM solution delivery, overseeing project execution, implementation of ITAM/SAM tools, data migration, and process documentation. Guide FinOps initiatives, manage risks, and ensure adherence to best practices in software licensing, hardware asset management, and cloud cost optimisation.
• Sales Growth: Lead pre-sales activities, including ITAM/SAM assessments, FinOps readiness evaluations, and solution presentations. Collaborate with sales teams to create compelling value propositions tailored to customer needs, conduct detailed needs analyses, and qualify opportunities aligned with business objectives.
• Solution Design & Proposal Development: Develop comprehensive ITAM/SAM solutions, including tool selection, process design, data governance, Managed SAM service offerings, and FinOps solution designs. Create detailed proposals, Statements of Work (SoWs), pricing models, and implementation roadmaps, ensuring alignment with industry standards (e.g., ISO 19770).
• Innovation & Thought Leadership: Stay at the forefront of ITAM industry trends, driving innovation through insightful advisory services, thought leadership, and best-practice implementation.
• Influential Collaboration: Effectively engage and influence customer and senior stakeholders, utilising exceptional interpersonal skills and providing genuine appreciation.
• Agile Leadership: Collaborate internally to enhance ITAM/SAM service offerings, maintain knowledge repositories on software licensing, hardware asset management, and cloud cost optimisation, and mentor junior consultants on ITAM methodologies.

You Bring:

• Extensive consulting experience (5+ years) in IT Asset Management, software licensing, compliance, SaaS optimisation, or cloud spend management.
• Proven success in delivering measurable improvements in ITAM practices, compliance outcomes, and cost optimisation for large-scale enterprise customers.
• Exceptional ability to build and maintain senior-level customer relationships and influence positive outcomes through trusted advisory roles.
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, capable of clearly articulating complex ITAM concepts and strategies to diverse audiences.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., IAITAM, CSAM, Flexera, ServiceNow, AWS, FinOps) are highly desirable.
• Bachelor’s degree or advanced degree or relevant professional qualifications are required.
