APS6 Team Lead Role | Brisbane, Canberra, Melbourne or Sydney location | Hybrid Working

THE OPPORTUITY

We are partnering with our federal government client in the science and technology space to source an APS6 Team Leader, Performance and Conduct to join a passionate and fun team of HR professionals.

In this role you will be the first point of contact for employees and managers with regard to performance and conduct issues, providing assistance and support to ensure effective and efficient resolution of matters. You will work closely with employees and managers managing complex people management cases and providing end to end support in managing performance, code of conduct and other employment matters.

You will be responsible for coordinating the Performance Development Plan process, providing operational and strategic support across the organisation, with a focus on building capability for supervisors and managers through the development and implementation of people management projects, strategies and initiatives to coach and enable managers to achieve appropriate organisational outcomes.

We are keen to speak with candidates who are interested in working with a scientific workforce and contributing to the successful outcomes of the wider HR team. For this role you will have the following experience and attributes:

  • Experience working across case management, performance and conduct, and / or workplace relations
  • Experience drafting briefing papers, correspondence and other communications as required
  • A sound understanding of employment law / relevant legislation
  • The ability to build and manage productive and effective partnerships that engage both internal and external stakeholders and partner agencies
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Relevant HR qualifications or equivalent experience working within HR teams

This role may will be offered as a non-ongoing opportunity for 6-months initially and transfers from other government agencies can be considered.

Please note that you must be an Australian citizen with the ability to obtain a baseline security clearance to be considered for this opportunity.
