Our work spans payroll operations, system implementations, stabilisation and advisory engagements.

Who you are 

You are an experienced Australian payroll specialist with a strong understanding of legislation, compliance risk and the real-world impact of payroll accuracy, and feel the time is right to expand your horizons and provide meaningful support more broadly than your current role allows. You are detail-oriented without losing sight of the bigger picture, able to move comfortably between day-to-day payroll delivery and broader problem-solving conversations. 

Your experience may come from in-house payroll, outsourced environments, consulting, implementation projects or a broader HR background with deep payroll exposure. You may have supported system implementations, testing, data validation or go-live activities. What matters most is solid payroll capability, sound professional judgement and a genuine focus on Customer outcomes. 

You communicate clearly, stay calm under pressure and are comfortable working independently in a remote environment while contributing to a high-performing team. 

What you will do 

• Support Customers with HRIS, Workforce Management and Payroll Implementations 
• Support end-to-end payroll across complex and high-risk client environments 
• Interpret and apply awards, EBAs and legislative requirements with accuracy and confidence 
• Perform detailed reconciliations, compliance reviews and exception analysis to protect payroll integrity 
• Analyse and transform payroll datasets, identifying anomalies, trends and root causes 
• Design and execute validation processes to ensure data accuracy and risk mitigation 
• Contribute to system implementations, including requirements clarification, testing and parallel runs 
• Partner with Customers during go-live activities, stabilisation phases and issue resolution 
• Produce clear documentation, reporting and control frameworks aligned to best practice 
• Advise stakeholders on payroll risk, compliance and process improvements 
• Collaborate with Customers and delivery teams to drive consistent, high-quality outcomes 
• Contribute to continuous improvement across payroll operations and system capability 

What you will needNon-negotiable 

• Minimum 5+ years Australian payroll experience in complex environments 
• Strong working knowledge of Australian payroll legislation, awards and compliance obligations 
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex payroll calculations with accuracy and sound judgement 
• Confidence analysing large datasets, performing reconciliations and working with spreadsheet formulas 
• Experience working with or implementing Payroll, Time & Attendance, WFM, HCM or HRIS systems 
• Ability to identify risk, resolve discrepancies and operate with accountability 
• Clear written and verbal communication skills, including confidence engaging with stakeholders 
• Comfort working independently in a remote environment while maintaining delivery standards 
• Australia based with full working rights in Australia. Applications without Australian work rights will not be considered 

Highly regarded 

• Experience in consulting, outsourced payroll or multi-client environments 
• Direct involvement in testing, parallel runs, cutover or go-live activities 
• Experience contributing to process improvement initiatives 
• Ability to interpret business processes and requirements and articulate them in payroll or system outcomes
