We are a growing, customer-focused mortgage broking firm with a strong presence across New South Wales. As part of our strategic expansion, we are seeking an experienced and motivated Team Lead to spearhead our growth into the Queensland market. Our business is built on a foundation of trust, professionalism, and delivering tailored lending solutions to our clients.

Role Description (Commission only)

As the Queensland Team Lead, you will play a pivotal role in establishing and managing our operations in the state. This leadership role combines hands-on broking responsibilities with team development, business growth, and stakeholder management. You will report directly to the executive team and be instrumental in driving the success of our expansion strategy.

Key Responsibilities:Leadership & Team Management:

  • Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing team of mortgage brokers and support staff.
  • Foster a collaborative and performance-driven culture in line with company values.

Business Development:

  • Drive new business opportunities and develop strategic partnerships in the Queensland region.
  • Represent the company at industry and networking events.

Operational Oversight:

  • Oversee day-to-day broking operations, ensuring compliance, efficiency, and exceptional customer service.
  • Collaborate with head office on policies, processes, and reporting requirements.

Client Engagement & Loan Processing:

  • Assist clients in identifying and securing appropriate lending solutions tailored to their financial goals.
  • Manage the end-to-end home loan application process, maintaining high standards of accuracy and service.

Compliance & Reporting:

  • Ensure all activities comply with relevant regulatory requirements (e.g., ASIC, MFAA/FBAA, AFCA).
  • Provide regular performance and pipeline reports to senior management.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of lending experience
  • Leadership, Staff Management, and Team Coordination skills
  • Business Strategy Development and Market Analysis experience
  • Client Relationship Management and Customer Service skills
  • Excellent Communication and Interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and remotely
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or related field
