What might your days look like  As a Mid-Market Sales Development Representative with a focus on mid-market clients to join our team in Australia. This remote position will put you in the midst of a dynamic, high-performing sales team. As a Mid Market Sales Development Representative at Employment Hero, you will play a pivotal role in driving our growth within the mid-market segment by identifying and nurturing sales opportunities. This position is ideal for individuals with a mid-market skill set or background who want to kickstart or further develop their sales career. We provide extensive training and development, with a clear path for advancement to become an Account Executive. At Employment Hero, we prioritise promoting from within whenever possible. This role can be based anywhere in Australia. As a Mid Market Sales Development Representative, you’ll be:

  • Sourcing new sales opportunities in the Mid-Market Segment 150+ employees and above. Identifying and developing sales opportunities specifically within the mid-market segment through inbound lead follow-up and outbound cold calls and emails.
  • Conduct discovery calls to understand the unique needs and requirements of mid-market clients, tailoring our solutions to their specific circumstances.
  • Qualify and route potential opportunities to the appropriate Account Executives for further development and eventual closure.
  • Research mid-market accounts, identify key decision-makers, and generate interest in Employment Hero's offerings for this market.
  • Maintain and expand your database of mid-market prospects within your assigned segment.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to conduct effective online demonstrations of our software to mid-market prospects when necessary.

What will you bring 

  • Proven Sales Experience with a Mid-Market Focus: Demonstrated experience in high-volume inside sales, particularly within the mid-market segment.
  • Over-Achievement: A track record of consistently exceeding targets and goals in the mid-market sector.
  • Phone Skills: Strong phone presence and the resilience to engage in phone communication throughout the day, particularly with mid-market clients.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a must, especially when dealing with mid-market clients.
  • Listening and Presentation for the Mid-Market: Proficiency in active listening and presentation skills, tailored for mid-market audiences.
  • Time Management: Ability to multitask, prioritise tasks effectively, and manage time efficiently, with a focus on mid-market leads and prospects.
