- Full-time, fixed term contract until 30 June 2026
- Offering a competitive salary of $90,561 to $104,476 (base wage) (commensurate with skills and experience) plus 11.5% superannuation

Purpose of the role In this role, you will be instrumental in promoting and supporting AERO’s engagement with the First Nations Expert Reference Group, ensuring that First Nations voices and perspectives are heard, represented, and included into our work. This is an exciting opportunity to connect with both internal and external stakeholders, facilitate knowledge exchange, and contribute to AERO’s goal of creating positive educational change. Accountabilities
- Organise, coordinate and support ERG meetings, and engagement with stakeholders, including processing engagement requests, preparation of internal and external communications and minutes.
- Lead the preparation for and management of ERG meetings and other team events such as in-person meetings, webinars and/or large online meetings.
- Coordinate and contribute to the development of ERG and other relevant documents, reports, discussion papers, submissions, and briefs to inform decision-making.
- Guide and support teams across AERO to effectively use and engage with AERO’s ERG.
- Support the First Nations team and wider business with the timely delivery of external projects, which may include collaborating with team members to establish efficient processes.
- Provide a range of administration and support services to meet the business needs in support of the ERG.
- Coordinate and manage records and databases, complying with administrative systems, processes and policies, to ensure that all information is accurate, stored correctly and accessible.
Essential Requirements
- A degree in public policy, public administration, education policy, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
Knowledge And Experience
- In-depth experience with stakeholder engagement, particularly within Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
- Solid experience in managing and organizing data, with the ability to create, format, and present documents, spreadsheets, and presentations.
- Proven success in building relationships and collaborating with both internal teams and external partners.
- Strong technical proficiency, including a solid understanding of MS365 (especially Word, Excel, and Teams), as well as familiarity with databases and cloud-based services.

- Strong analytical abilities, with the capacity to synthesize information from various sources and make informed decisions.
- Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to connect with people at all levels.
- Exceptional organizational skills with an eye for detail and a passion for keeping things running smoothly.
- A creative problem-solver, capable of thinking outside the box to find innovative solutions.
